Featuring the popular Lake of the Ozarks, the Osage Lakes area is a haven for watersport enthusiasts and lovers of the outdoors. In addition to aquatic activities, hiking, biking and more can also be enjoyed in this part of Missouri. Many resorts in the area accommodate visitors and are a good way to get in on activities in the region. The Katy Trail runs through the Osage Lakes area in Clinton and features 225 miles of pathway located on the old Missouri-Texas-Kansas railroad line. Clinton is also home to a number of historic sites, many of which predate 1900, as well as several antique shops that offer collectible items for sale. The town of Bolivar features Speedway USA, the site of stock car racing every Friday night during the race season, as well as the Bolivar Golf Club, a public course that welcomes visitors.
